A Great New Discovery: Maui Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner.
I recently discovered this amazing brand called Maui Moisture and from the get-go, I was hooked! I was perusing the aisles of natural hair products at Target when I stumbled across these super cute bottles of shampoo and conditioner. I immediately looked at the ingredient list and was excited to see that the first ingredient was NOT deionized water and the second ingredient was NOT Sodium Laureth Sulfate.
The first ingredient in Maui Moisture is Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and according to their site (www.mauimoisture.com), it is infused with pure coconut water! Yes, you heard correctly the first ingredient is aloe juice infused with coconut water! And not only that, this product does not contain any mineral oil, silicones, parabens, gluten, SLS, Sulfated Surfactants or ALES and it is vegan and eco-friendly. I know, I am smiling too! Pure coconut oils and aloe juice and vegan…can it get any better?
Now for the test portion of this great looking and sounding product, will it help my lifeless, frail, damaged and chemically-treated fine hair? Yeap! It sure did. I was a bit skeptical because I have tried a few natural products in the past but felt as though they left my hair feeling drier and unmanageable. But the shampoo cleaned the hair well and the conditioner actually conditioned my hair. My hair felt smoother and softer and easy to comb. After I let my hair air-dry, my hair felt silky, soft and had a very faint island smell (coconutty).
I can honestly say that I really liked and was impressed with this shampoo and conditioner. I purchased the Heal & Hydrate Shea Butter shampoo (for dry and damaged hair) for obvious reasons but they also have the following collections: Curl Quench + Coconut Oil, Nourish & Moisture + Coconut Milk, Smooth & Repair + Vanilla Bean, Strength & Anti-Breakage + Agave and Thicken & Restore + Bamboo Fiber. They not only have shampoos and conditioners but hair masks, blow-out mist, leave-in detangler, raw oil, oil mist and hair butter. I can’t really give you my opinion on the other products from this great brand but as far as their Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter, I have to give it an A+!
