The Amazing Face Serum – What A Nice Surprise!
I discovered this tiny little gem when it came inside one of the Vegan Cuts subscription boxes. At first, I didn’t pay much attention to it because it was a brand I hadn’t heard of before and it looked like a little add on to the box. Boy was I wrong, this product is amazing and intrigued me to further investigate this company. The Granola Goat is an Etsy store in San Antonio, Texas that focuses on selling indie, vegan and cruelty-free skincare products. Their slogan is a perfect fit for their product line “clean skincare with mindful ingredients.”
I can’t really say much about their other products (aside from wanting to try them all) but I will specifically talk about The Amazing Face Serum. This product contains cold pressed red raspberry oil, USDA certified organic sea buckthorn berry oil, frankincense, helichrysum, lavender, myrrh, and sandalwood. The first ingredient which makes up 90% of the serum is one that contains high amounts of omega 6 and omega 3 along with linoleic acid which acts as an anti-inflammatory, heals and retains moisture and also helps the regeneration of cells. The red raspberry oil also has additional benefits such as:
- act as a natural sunscreen
- reduce the destruction of collagen
- encourages healthy skin growth
- promotes new collagen production
- inhibit UV damage
- stimulates cell repair
It is incredible what one little oil can do all by itself, now imagine if you add to it all the other amazing ingredients found in this product. When I first used this product I didn’t have any high expectations for it but it proved me wrong. The scent is very faint but has a nice (natural) smell to it. It glides on very smooth and it was immediately absorbed by my face. My face didn’t feel oily which usually happens when I apply other oils directly to the skin. The more I started using this product, the more I started to notice the amazing benefits it provides. My face looked healthier and younger almost as though I had a brand new glow. Even some of the moms started questioning what I was using or doing to look so different. It was really nice to share a natural product with other women who were used to buying high price-point famous skin care lines. Sometimes all we need is right under our noses…a true gift from the earth.
