I had heard about the creator of Hourglass Clarisa James, a long time ago when buzz got around that Angelina Jolie was using her Veil Fluid Makeup foundation on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith. They tend to be on the pricey point scale but its because of all the wonderful quality ingredients found in their products.

I had scheduled a makeover with Hourglass to find out more about the brand, their skincare line, and makeup selections. I was so excited when I saw the results of their primer and foundation because it provided great coverage without looking too cake-like or overdone. I couldn’t help myself and I quickly purchased the Hourglass Veil Primer and Illusion foundation with hyaluronic skin tint and SPF 15. I also purchased a remarkable brow liner called Arch Brow Sculping which is so easy to use and leaves impeccable brows. It has a cool triangular shape that allows me to shape and sculpt either using the pointy tip or the flat edge while the brush grooms my brows into place.
I was really excited about so many of Hourglass products especially the primer because it has so many ingredients which dramatically hides redness, minimizes pores, is water repellant and contains SPF. It really is the secret for a perfect makeup canvas. The Illusion foundation is, according to their site Hourglass’ Hyaluronan Complex, powered by an advanced form of hyaluronic acid, plumps and tightens skin while filling in deep wrinkles. And who doesn’t want that, am I right? I was really impressed with Hourglass and will definitely continue to try additional products. Ambient Light Blush Palette…I’m coming for you next!
