This past weekend I decided to take the whole family to join me at a vegan event in Los Angeles called the Vegan Playground created by Vegan Hard. Although it was not the first vegan event I’ve taken the kids to, it was great showing them how many people appreciate the vegan lifestyle. “The festival uniting lovers of food, music, art, ideas, and good vibes” took place in the Pershing Square which is an outdoor oasis in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. There were so many delicious vegan food companies in the event and a few skincare and makeup brands. The event focused more on enjoying life and acting like “kids.” There was a roller skating rink, large playground, hula hoops, photo booth and more. This was definitely a fun and great event for the whole family to attend (vegan and nonvegans alike).
My kids got to enjoy vegan donuts, lemonades, kombuchas, vegan ice-cream and so many other wonderful treats. They also played in the playground, roller skate and took a few hula hoops lessons with the wonderful dance company. The people in attendance were from all walks of life and got along extremely well together. There was a sense of comradery, kindness, and unity amongst all those present. People over 21 years of age got to enjoy a close-up look at the different bands playing while enjoying alcoholic vegan beverages. This was definitely a great event and I will look forward to attending again next year. Just take a look below at all the wonderful companies present at this year’s event.
I would love to know your thoughts if you attended this event and what your experience was like. Also, if you have any information regarding your favorite local vegan events please share below so that we can all be aware of amazing vegan events happening all over the world.
