We finally did it! In our first ever collaboration; Opal and I partnered up to experience the complete effects of the Sashapure haircare system for an entire month. Pre-Treatment
What is your hair type/texture? (in its natural state) – My hair has always been extremely fine and straight. My hair is medium bodied, naturally wavy and prone to fizziness.
Is your hair currently or formally chemically treated? (relaxers, perms, color, etc.) – Yes, I have been coloring it for over 25 years- Blonde. Always and forever, I have been bleaching and coloring for years and while I’m currently not blonde (I know, the horror) there will inevitably be more bleach in my near future.
Common hair issues (too dry, too oily, too frizzy, damage, hard to detangle, etc.) – Damaged, weak, unappealing, lifeless and thin. Oily scalp, dry ends and a nightmare to detangle.
Are you in transition? – Of changing my hair color? No. Are we still talking about hair? If so then yes, always- I’m never satisfied and always on the forefront for the battle to be blonde.
Current hair care routine- I try different hair products that are mostly vegan and/or cruelty-free. I just wash with shampoo and then condition (every day mostly). Occasionally I will use a moisturizing conditioning mask. I wash every 2-3 days with dry shampoo in between. I use weekly deep conditioning masks and heat style maybe once per week. I’m on a break from my extensions but If I had them on I’d use even more products to clarify and detangle.
Why were you interested in trying SASHAPURE? – I have seen the videos and read the amazing reviews. I wanted to see if the products would transition my hair and change the way it feels and looks. I’m always on the hunt for the newest beauty products and loved the idea of nourishing my hair and reviving my dry strands.
What do you hope SASHAPURE will do for your hair and routine- I love having a hair routine that WORKS. I am hoping that with Sashapure products, I will have a consistent regimen of working products that will change the overall appearance of my hair. I want to get my strands to a point where they are long and strong and can better withstand the effects of coloring and styling.
Post-Treatment
What products did you like and why? – I really loved the Healing Shampoo and Conditioner, Restorative Conditioning Masque and I also loved the Smoothing and Shine Hair Treatment. I liked this combination of products because they worked extremely well for my frail and lifeless strands. My hands down favorite product was the Restorative Conditioning Masque because it rinsed clean and left my hair uber shiny and bouncy.
Extra Notes? – I used the shampoo and conditioner in lieu of my regular ones. I didn’t need too much product to reap the benefits. I then used the Shine Hair Treatment on damp hair to give it that final oomph it needed, it made my hair beautifully shiny. I used the Restorative Conditioning Masque once a week for 5 to 10 minutes. I had it on more time on days that I went to the beach or swimming at the pool. It gave my hair the necessary conditioning it needed to reduce the damage from the chlorine and salt water. While using the combination of these products, I noticed that my hair had more body and shine. My hair actually felt healthier and had more bounce and life to it. I really enjoyed having a routine to use that I knew was changing my hair for the best. I was surprised by how well these products work. You hear a lot of hype about certain products because they are advertised by a celebrity or famous influencers, but they don’t really work as great or at all. Trying all the products provided by Sashapure Beauty, I found the ones that were “Just Right” for my hair type. They helped my hair become healthier and have more life to it. I will continue using these products and even use them on my girl’s hair. I used these products exclusively throughout the trial and noticed how concentrated AKA high quality they were. The shampoo and conditioner lathered beautifully, and the Shine Hair Treatment was a real winner especially when I straightened my hair. I definitely noticed more life to my hair; more bounce and it was easier to style with hot tools. Several friends commented on my hair that it looked great and asked whether I colored it recently; I hadn’t it just looked so much more refreshed and vibrant. I also sed the line on my daughter’s hair and I noticed such a difference in the silkiness even after a day at the pool. The best part of the entire system was its ability to detangle and add a healthy shine to strands after both air drying and blow drying.
