So what products are actually inside this “happiness in a box” and can they actually inspire us to be happy?
The first product my eyes wondered to was a nicely bubble-wrapped bottle of Veise Beauty – Hydrating Face Wash $24. Imagine a face wash with incredible ingredients such as apple cider vinegar, geranium, raw honey, and virgin marula. This hydrating face wash left my face feeling so clean and refreshed. It really felt like it cleaned deep inside my pores and the scent was exhilarating. I loved this product and will definitely continue using it.
Meadow Sense – Breathe Well Inhaler $10. At first sight, this reminded me of the “old school” Vicks inhalers but with an updated look. “This aluminum casing for durability, a replaceable wick, & a glass insert that will not negatively react when essential oils are placed within.” The essential oils inside this inhaler are Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Opoponax and Sweet Orange. Since I had an old school mind frame, I was expecting to take a whiff of some powerful and strong scent mixture but it was actually very faint. I found myself shaking it to see if the smell would become stronger but it made no difference. Although the casing of this product is super cute, I don’t find much use for it.
Be Loved Box – Beseduced Signature Body Souffle $7. This body butter I love! It is a whipped consistency and it feels amazing on the skin. I put it on after my burning hot shower and it just melted and glided on my skin. It was heavenly. I was definitely really happy about this discovery.
Modern Skyn Alchemy – Reborn Serum $38.50. I love this brand because they produce high-quality products in small batches. They have quite the following due to the products organic and natural ingredients. They are effective, high standard and great products. It refreshed and hydrated my skin and its also great to use around the knees and elbows. I was definitely excited to see this serum in the box.
Gypsy Soul Organics Moon Perfume $20. This handmade perfume is extremely light scented with touches of florals such as jasmine, lavender and rose. I would consider this more of a mist than a perfume because of its watery consistency. A few minutes after spraying it on my wrist and neck, no one could smell the perfume at all.
PACKage – Don’t Worry Healing Mask $5.99. This Korean mask is free from 8 harmful ingredients and contains Centella, Centella Asiatica Extract and Madecassoside (ingredients I know nothing about). The mask felt great and the serum was thick and moisturizing. Although its main purpose is to calm and soothe irritated skin, it actually gave my skin a nice youthful glow.
The Happy Shoppe – Lavender Satin Eye Mask $15. Anytime you can shut down the lights and unblock the world, you are sure to find happiness. This satin mask was silky and smelled amazing! The satin is filled with dried lavender and the beautiful embroidered butterfly gave it an adorable touch. I genuinely have to say that this was by far my favorite product inside the box.
The Happy Shoppe – Daily Dose Of Self Care $18. These cards contain 30 activity cards that you can choose to do (one activity) anytime throughout the day when you feel that you need extra “me time.” The options range from “Go for a drive and sing really loud to your favorite song” to “Pampering Your Body and Giving Thanks.” I think this is a really great concept to help people find ways to take care of themselves. Although I have not partaken in any activity yet, I am definitely excited to begin my journey.
